I love the Abstrct Expressionist school. The most religious and devotional of Twentieth Century art.

Pollack, De Koonig, Rothko, Gorky, etc, they were almost like Biblical prophets to me.

The Pop Art came along and told us we were all nothing but alienated consumers, that life was nothing but fashion, appetite and ironic detachment.

Pop was wrong, Thank God.
